Harris Family's home caught fire

Donation protected
At 438 pm 2/1/2021 I recieved a phone call from my neighbor  telling me that my house was on fire and my children were at her home safe. The first thing that came to mind was chaos and panic. I didn't know what to think. Rushing home from work, a 19 minute drive felt like 1 hour. As a drove, I tried to make my mind belive that my worst fear was just a small incident. As I got closer to my home, I could see fire and police personnel staged up and down my street. I parked  at the lowest part of my street and proceeded to run up toward my house. The only thing running through my mind was were my kids truly okay,  and was my house gone. As I got closer, my legs got so heavy I started to walk.... getting closer I couldn't help but to cry as the smell of burning plastic and electric cord stuck my nose. Sfd  were outside actively working on putting out the fire on my home as I cried... watching everything my husband and I worked for burn to the ground. My two oldest children  were at my neighbors house across the street.  The fire man directed me to their house where I could find my children  where I consoled them and asked what happened.  I was told that their father went to work a few hours prior to the fire.  Around 4 something my oldest (15 years old) was in his room in the basement  and my 13 year old was still in class virtually on the second floor when he heard a weird noise.  He then saw smoke coming though his door and started to scream for his brother. My 15 year old came upstairs and saw thick black smoke and ran  tried to get to his brother but could not so he screamed up the stairs... "Coz.. get out right now"!!!! My 13 year old the. Opened the window from his room and jumped onto the garage. My 15 year old ran around the back of the house and caught him from the garage.  After hearing this I was extremely sad but proud that my boys reacted the way that they did. I am even more greatful that God saw fit to allow me to keep my children rather than take them that day. So while we did lose all of our physical positions,  we still have our beautiful children.  This go fund me is to help rebuild what our children lost that day..... we appreciate everyone who had contributed and anyone who will contributed to this tragedy.  ❤♥
