Hello everyone, my name is Carly. My partner, Jevaunie and I, are creating this GoFund me to help Jevaunie's brother, who resides in Jamaica. He and his wife have 3 young children and 2 dogs. Unfortunately, Hurricane Melissa has devastated their lives, as it tore through their community and left them homeless. They are left with no electricity, no food or water. They have been displaced since the storm, and have to journey for many miles just to contact loved ones and seek basic help.

Their children are in urgent need of food, clean water, diapers, clothing, and essential supplies. With Jamaica’s tourism sector severely impacted, their workplaces will remain closed for months, making it nearly impossible to earn income or rebuild in the near future.

Their challenges

The roads in their neighbourhoods are damaged, as well as their vehicle, making travel and access to resources extremely difficult.

They have dogs who are also without proper food and care.

The children have no secure place to live or study as schools try to reopen.
