Family Home Lost to Mental Illness

Donation protected
Mental health services had not been provided to Alan "Ty" McCall despite pleas from family members to police and social workers over the past two months as his mental health declined.  One week prior to the fire, Police informed the family that their only option was to leave the home even if he was destroying it or threatening to burn it.   On multiple occasions police and social workers stated they were unable to help despite clear signs of mental health issues because Ty would not accept their help voluntarily.  Due to safety concerns, firefighters stood by while the home and garage burned completely.

Kim and Ty McCall are an amazing couple and are loved by all in this community that they have called home for over 36 years.  There are countless stories about both Kim and Ty helping others get through times of need over the years.  This fundraiser was started on the suggestion of neighbors as this is truly a time of need and uncertainty.

The Family's home and most of their possessions were destroyed by the fire.  The future will involve many legal expenses, temporary living conditions, and an attempt to rebuild.  Anything you can give to help would be a huge blessing to the victims of this tragic loss that resulted from not being able to get Ty mental help in time.
