Hello, my name is Timmy and my parents home has suffered severe damage during Hurricane Ida. My parents live in Lafourche Parish, where it was recorded to have sustained winds of up to 150 mph. My parents have lost everything in their home due to the flooding and do not have flood insurance. All appliances and furniture within the home were damaged and non salvageable. My father is 70 years old and mother is 67 and have always given up everything to support my family. They currently do not have any power or running water.

These funds will be used to obtain supplies to remove all flood damaged walls and furniture for my parents and give them the opportunity to rebuild their home. The supplies they have requested include water, gloves, trash bags, blue tarps, disinfectant, paper towels, cleaning supplies, mold remover, dehumidifiers, rags, WD-40, chainsaw oil, and a generator. They have not asked for any specific amount, but will need groceries, appliances, and furniture.

My parents are refuges that have overcome the struggles of war and came here to improve the life of my family. It is this reason I decided to join the military to give back to the armed forces that has provided the saving graces for my parents. I am heartbroken because I am currently deployed and unable to assist them, but I would like to help them in any way I could.My parents have always helped anyone in need throughout their community. They would do the same for anyone else that was struggling so I am asking for any assistance to help them.
