Family Helping Family: The Kruger Family Needs Us!

Friends and family – Jeff has put up a good fight; however, the progression of the Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer is going to win the battle. When we found it and were diagnosed, it was already at Stage 4 and metastasized to the liver and lungs. Now it is in his bones and has spread up his spine, ribcage, and head. The chemotherapy regimen is not knocking any of this down.
As hard as it is, the boys and I are saying our goodbyes. He knows we all love him and want him to stay but we also want him to not suffer from this nasty disease any longer. At this time we are not sure as to when his passing will happen but when it happens the family is asking for donations in lieu of flowers. Jeff has asked for a Celebration of Life once he is back with his family. He will be cremated.

The family will need help getting back on their feet. Susan is trying to figure out how to support and raise two young boys on her own. There are many medical bills to pay, along with the cremation and Celebration of Life. If you could kindly help her out, she would greatly appreciate it. Please keep the family in your prayers!

Hello to the Seminole County community and beyond! My name is Sandy, and I am reaching out to you all on behalf of my friend and colleague, Susan Trax-Kruger. Most of you know Susan as one of our veteran Kindergarten teachers from Bentley Elementary School, and have watched her boys Zachary (6th gr) and Keegan (3rd grade) grow up before our very eyes through school, scouts, and Odyssey of the Mind. So I reach out to you because they need us to rally around them now more than ever.
Jeff Kruger, Susan’s husband, was diagnosed in early June at the young age of 49 with Stage 4 Colon-Rectal Cancer that has metastasized to the liver and the lungs. After many consultations and a second opinion, the team has come up with an aggressive plan to attack this ugly disease. As you can imagine, the medical expenses that come with such treatment grow by the day: gas money to get to all of the appointments, copayments and fees that the insurance doesn’t cover, prescriptions… the list will continue to grow.
So I am reaching out to all of you to help rally around this family, our family, to support them through this difficult time. This diagnosis was a huge shock to them, and they are stressed about keeping up with the bills and these unexpected medical expenses.
Jeff, Susan, Zachary, and Keegan cannot thank you enough for your kindness, prayers, and support during this tough time. They feel our love, and it is giving them strength, courage, and hope.
