On September 1st John had a freak accident. He was trying to help a neighbour gain access to there property after being locked out he was climbing into the upstairs window using a ladder. Unfortunately he slipped off the porch while trying to get through the window resulting in an awful fall that has changed our lives. He laid on the floor for multiple hours waiting for all the emergency services where due to how severe his injuries are he was airlifted to Addenbrookes hospital where he remains at this current time. He has suffered a bad head injury along with a broken neck and spinal cord damage. Due to his swelling it’s still uncertain if he will ever gain feeling or movement anywhere below his arms and this may mean he will never be able to walk again. In the follow weeks to come he is being moved to Sheffield hospital/rehab where we are unsure how long he will have to stay there. John is a very loved Husband, Dad and grandad. His wife Tine also struggles with mobility and doesn’t drive. We are asking for any help/ donations towards the costs of getting Tina back and forth the Sheffield hospital and also for the accommodation the hospital offer is £25 per night so she can be with her husband though this tough time as a family as much as we wish we could make the trip there everyday we can’t due to financial and work. We are heartbroken but are trying to remain positive and hope for the best outcome.
