I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping a dear friend of mine who is facing a tough time. She has recently found herself homeless, and it has been heartbreaking to watch her struggle to find a job and shelter. She unfortunately became one of the 59% of Americans who were just one or two paychecks away from homelessness.

My friend, Nicole, is a kind, hardworking, and resilient person, but life has thrown some unexpected challenges her way. She recently lost both of her parents and found herself with no family to turn to. She also lost her job and decided to take a risk by moving to the ocean, hoping to quickly find employment. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. After a few months, her savings ran out, and she began living in her car with her three dogs. Tragically, one of her dogs recently passed away.

Nicole cannot seek shelter assistance because she refuses to part with her dogs—they are the only family she has left. She has been applying for jobs and attending interviews, but the process is long and difficult. She has a strong resume with extensive experience working in veterinary offices and medical records. She is eager to secure a job in one of these fields. We are hoping anyone in Ohio or North Carolina may be able to help her find a lead and help her get her foot in the door.

I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 to help Nicole get back on her feet. The funds will be used to:

Secure safe and stable housing

Cover basic necessities such as food, clothing, and utilities

Assist with monthly bills to relieve immediate financial stress

Help cover the cost of her medication
