I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My nephew and his mom come from a small northern community, and they are currently facing an incredibly difficult time. My nephew has been battling an acute onset of ITP, with his platelet levels dangerously low. Because of this, he needs to stay within walking distance of Children’s Hospital to ensure he receives the urgent care he requires.

Unfortunately, the family has been unable to access Ronald McDonald House or other affordable accommodations near the hospital. They are struggling to find a place they can afford during this critical period. Recently, they were told that his best chance for treatment is to receive daily infusions at the hospital, but the medication costs can reach upwards of $5,000 each week.

We are trying to raise funds to help cover the cost of nearby accommodations and support the family with medication expenses. Your generosity could make a real difference in easing their burden during this challenging time and giving my nephew the best chance for recovery.
