Family & Friends: Help Dad Get Rehab Care

Donation protected
Dear family and friends,

As many of you know, our dad had a terrible fall off of a 15-20 foot ladder on March 3rd, 2026. Due to that fall he has suffered fractured ribs, fractured lower back, fracture facial bones, and worst of all a traumatic brain injury.

We’re reaching out because in just the past couple of days, everything has changed for our family—and we urgently need your help.

We recently learned that Dad’s insurance will no longer cover his stay at the rehab facility, and he was discharged Saturday morning. At the same time, we were told that the specialized NeuroRestorative therapy program his doctors strongly recommend—based on the level and intensity of care he needs—is not covered either. The cost for just one month of treatment is approximately $25,000 out of pocket.

Right now, our only alternatives are bringing him home with outpatient care or placing him in assisted living. We are devastated, because he is simply not ready for either option. Dad is still experiencing confusion, mood swings, and moments where he doesn’t understand his limitations. For his safety and recovery, he needs constant supervision and a structured rehabilitation environment.

We also want to be transparent: Dad’s injury happened at work, but his workers’ compensation claim has been denied. My mom is working with an attorney to appeal this, but that process takes time—and his treatment cannot wait.

We are doing everything we can to keep him safe and calm while we search for the best path forward. Brain trauma recovery is incredibly complex. Along with moments of progress, there are also episodes of agitation and unpredictability that are difficult to manage without professional support.

We are asking for your help to give Dad the chance at the recovery he deserves. Your donations will go directly toward inpatient rehabilitation so he can receive the critical care he needs right now.

If you’re not able to give, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this page mean just as much to us.

Thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time.
