My family and I are raising funds for our nephew Damascus and his young family who have just lost everything they owned in the devastating floods in Lismore this week. Damascus & Jen, his partner and their two sons aged 12 and 9 were so lucky to escape their flooded rental house with their lives and we are all grateful for that, but they literally fled with only the clothes on their backs and their pet pup. Sadly, they couldn’t afford insurance so they are in a bad way.

We understand that there are so many tragic circumstances at the moment and we sincerely hope that everyone receives the help, care and love they need to get through it.

We are asking for your help to aid them with the purchase of basic essentials such as clean drinking water, food, clothes, bedding, towels, hygiene and health care needs etc, and to find simple rental accommodation. Our biggest concern is with the unstable mental state of these proud parents and the effect it is having on their boys who are overwhelmed and confused over this distressing experience.

With your support we are hoping to raise around $8,000 to $15,000 to assist with these fundamentals and to provide comfort and stability to our heartbroken family. Please help only if you can and it will be really appreciated.
