Hi my name is Missy. My daughter and 5 grandchildren are fleeing domestic violence and attempted child abduction. This has been going on for a few years now and although last year we thought they were placed and settled, they were found. They were placed in a safe house miles away, but yet again found. My daughter has been beaten and driven off the road and twice there has been attempts to take the children from school. They have been to 4 different schools, it’s hard to keep them safe even with our name changes. So now they are all in a refuge that will not allow the pets. They have a Chihuahua that is a registered sensory dog, a Belgian Malinios that is trained and a registered guard dog. Obviously without him they are feeling extremely vulnerable. We have tried all the crisis centres/dogs trust etc. to no avail and they are due to be euthanised on Wednesday. They will not take the malinios due to the fact he HAS had training! Yes your instincts are right…the police and army use them, because once trained, they are unbelievable dogs to work/love and have as a family member…and that is what these dogs are…family members as well as protectors. We have found a kennel that understands these breads and understands the families predicament. We have also been donated £500 for the first week from 500 Suffolk Reasons (Thank you so much!) but obviously this isn’t going to be resolved anytime soon and the kennel fee will escalate.

Hopefully we and anyone who understands the fear of Abuse or having their pets taken away from their family to be euthanised, can help fund these beautiful creatures and keep them safe until they can go back into the family fold and keep their loved ones safe.
