Family Fire Recovery Fund

I'm Anna. I'm raising funds for my family in Suffolk as they lost the farm barns in a horrendous fire on Wednesday April 22nd 2026. Thankfully no person or animal was harmed. The house is fine but the entire site (their home as well as businesses) were without electricity for nearly 2 months.
A huge thank you to Debs and Andrew for the initial loan of a generator. When we realised we needed it to run nearly 24/7 thanks to supporters we were able to buy our own generator. The generator, fuel, new electrical pole and other electrical costs were £11500+ alone so as initial emergency aid alone your gifts have made a massive difference.
Attached is a video of the devastation . You're meant to see a big barn at the bottom of the yard not sky and the trees from across the road.
It affects my dad, two sisters and brother but most of all my brother in law Sergio Muelle AWCF.
It's devastating to have lost his business.
Sergio changed from decades of being a farrier shoeing horses to an artisan knife maker.
He'd done an amazing job in turning a disused barn into a workshop.
His blacksmith/knife making courses were very popular. Not only has he lost his work space, all his tools and machinery are destroyed. Sergio's so creative. He'd even upgraded his powerhammer with the spring off an old transit van.
Decades of family history and amazing ingenuity by Sergio have been lost.
His make a knife in a day courses etc will need to be cancelled and people refunded. All his stock of wood and metal as well as items made to sell are destroyed.
Two months on insurance is still being processed so nothing can be cleared till then. That will be a big cost in itself.
Alexia, Sergio's wife and my little sister, breeds dogs. Some of the barn space was where she fed my four legged nieces and nephews. The supplies for caring for dogs and puppies has been demolished. Thank you to her dog network for who offered puppy pads and newspapers.
This continues to be an overwhelming time for them all. I live in Wales but went over for a lovely but poignant time together to celebrate Dad's 80th recently.
It's truly terrifying to see how quickly fire destroys but we're blown away by the way people have responded to this appeal.
Thank you in advance for all your supportive messages and offers of help. The electricity is finally back on which is huge but there's still a long way to go.
Thank you again the extended Rushbrook family xx
