Sunday night My Mom, Brother and cousin were jolted out of bed when a fire started in the apartment next door. My mother acted in heroics as she ran down all three floors throughout the hallways yelling fire to wake the neighbors up. With no time to grab anything but themselves my family is left with nothing. We are all in this difficult pandemic situation together-  imagine losing your home and possessions when home is your only comfort zone. They are in an air bnb right now feeling grateful to have that and each other. But they are human and have the reality of having to start with nothing. Next month they have to pay rent at a temporary home. They have nothing.
