A local 8-year-old boy and his family are facing an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation. On Thursday, July 23, he suffered an accident that resulted in second-degree burns covering the entire upper half of his thigh on one leg. He is currently receiving care in the Burn Unit at Riley Children’s Hospital and will be undergoing surgery for a skin graft.

His father is a single dad raising two children and, during this difficult time, will be unable to work so he can stay by his son’s side and support him through surgery, recovery, and the days ahead.

We are asking our community to come together and help this family in any way we can. Donations will help with medical and everyday expenses, as well as provide financial support while his dad is away from work caring for his son.
