A mere 6 months ago, a local mother found a family member to be abusing her child over the course of several months. Due to the lengthly trial ahead and the publication ban on the case, details need to be vague.

Groomed by family to leave their city and live closer to family, this mother of 5 children is now facing homelessness. A promise by the very same family member that abused her child, to help pay for her rent and even be on her lease as half responsible, now has put this mother responsible for everything as the assailant sits in jail.

Horrific things have happened to this family and this fundraising is all the hope they have left. They have been served an N4 for non payment of rent and will face having to uproot 5 kids to a family shelter if we can not raise the funds needed. No one deserves what this family has gone through and this mother still stands to be as gentle and loving as she possibly can through out this process. She is helping police find possible other victims and standing for justice for every child and not just her own! She deserves to feel that her and her children matter more than what they have been put through!

The funds will be going to rent arrears first and foremost to secure housing. Anything additional will go to utilities arrears, groceries, therapy (for victim and mother), travel to appointments (vehicle needs repairs), medication, clothing for the children, and everyday needs.

We need to show this mother that life has more in store for her than suffering. We as a community can rally around this family and show them that the horrifying details coming out in this case, they did not deserve. Please help this family not sit in a family shelter and let the criminal win!
