Family escapes after tree Disaster

My name is Laura and I am a 65-year-old senior whose house was destroyed by a tree falling on it on Wednesday into Thursday morning at 12:00 am, June 26, 2025. I did not expect my place of dwelling would be pulverized by the entire pine tree, uprooted from the ground. My son was awake and was a few feet away from where the 60ft tall tree landed. That morning, I could have lost my baby son and been left with the loss of my firstborn, and now my last surviving son. I want to take a moment to thank God that we were not killed like so many other accidents with trees during these silent yet deadly storms causing trees to fall. I want to thank Fox 5 for coming out to make sure my story can help other Georgians when it comes to these silent yet deadly thunderstorms.
