Stella Needs Help!

When my brother returned home from his time in the Marines, he decided he wanted a dog and brought Stella home with him. She's become a beloved family pet and is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever had. Through the years with us, she's really come out of her shell and her anxieties have decreased in a stable home with a yard and friends.

However, we noticed that Stella began limping on and off a few months ago. We assumed it was an injury or bruise from playing and waited to see if it would heal. But after the limping didn't go away, we had to take her in.

After some expensive vet visits, we finally were informed that Stella has a partially torn CCL in her knee. It was devastating news, as we don't have pet insurance for her and the surgery is expensive, even according to vet standards.

Currently, she is on an anti-inflammatory and pain killer to ease her discomfort, but we know it's not taking care of the true issue. It kills us that Stella isn't able to play with her neighborhood friends and go on walks like she used to love.

However, between a new addition to our family and a wedding this year, my family just doesn't have the funds to afford the knee surgery she needs on our own.

I know everyone is going through their own struggles, but any help would be greatly appreciated to get Stella back on her feet and feeling like her old self again.

All funds will go directly towards paying for Stella's x-rays with the surgeon, her knee surgery, and follow up x-rays post procedure.
