On the morning of February 5, 2025, our family home was tragically damaged in a fire. While we were able to make it out safely, we heartbreakingly lost our two family dogs in the flames.

That morning, a Comcast technician was working on fixing our internet when we heard a loud bang and saw an electrical fire in the living room. White smoke quickly filled the house. After stopping the fire from spreading, we alerted the technician.

Minutes later, flames erupted in the garage, where our dogs had been secured so the technician could work. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire house in smoke and flames, making it impossible to save them.

The Red Cross has provided a hotel stay for three nights, but we’ve been told we will be displaced for at least 9 months while our home is being rebuilt. We are now faced with unexpected expenses for temporary housing.
