Family Child Care Book Drive

Hello! Tara Sabako here! As an Usborne Books & More consultant, I have been BLESSED to have books in my home for my children to grow up with.  And as the Sibley County licensor, I am BLESSED to work with the most fantastic Family Child Care providers for the last ten years. These providers give everything to the families they serve, especially during the previous two years as COVID has changed how they operate and the amount of stress on them. They care, sing, play, listen, comfort, nurture, and teach their children day in and day out. They work long hours, and even though they're burnt out (and trust me, they are), they are there with a smile the next day at 7 am.

These providers care for our most precious residents, so to give back to them and the children in their homes would fill my heart. With that idea, I wanted to personally do a book drive as a small way to say "thank you" to our providers for everything they do.

It's hard to believe that there are kids that have never owned a book of their own, and yet it's the truth. Books really CAN change lives. The books that some of these children come in contact with at a family child care program may be the only time they will hold or be read a book that day. And those books are WELL LOVED in the daycare home--let's get them some new ones!
