When I look back on my life, one of my fondest memories will always be of Grandma and Grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary. Great food and drink, football in the back yard, euchre tables going inside, kids running around everywhere, Grandma's cardboard toybox, and great conversations amongst people who genuinely seem to enjoy each other's company and most importantly- love each other. That's when I knew how truly special our family is. I couldn't have been much older than 9 or 10 years old. Today we have a great opportunity to remind ourselves how truly special and what a gift it is to be a member of this family. We have the opportunity to create another great memory by helping out one of our own.
Carol has been a pillar of our family over the years and would give us the shirt off her back in the middle of a snow storm if she thought we needed it. She will always do whatever she has to do in order to protect her family. Well Warner family, it's time for the us to protect one of our own. Quite frankly, I can't think of another person more loving, more caring, or more deserving than Carol.
If this life has tought me one thing so far, it's that there are not a lot of statements that reign more true than "It takes a village!" There is, without question, strength in numbers, strength in clanship, strength in family. But if that's the first thing I've learned, well, then the second thing would have to be that the beautiful soul who answers to "Carol" "CR" or "Shortie" can be as stubborn as an ox if she chooses . She would never accept any handouts! So Dee and I disscussed that maybe the best option would be... to just not give her the option!
LET'S GET CAROL A CAR! Let's remind each other how great we can be together. How strong we can be together. That togetherness is all that really matters in this life! Whatever you can spare will be more than enough and I know that Carol will be moved to tears when we toss her the keys! Open to any great ideas for how we should present it to her...of course we will film it for y'all if you can't make it. Get to work and start donating! Love you all...Let's do this!
