I am initiating this fundraiser on behalf of Irena Kaldieva. Irena runs a modest animal rescue in St. Lucia called Amazing Grace.

She and her family are now facing dangerous circumstances surrounding their current landlord and need help ASAP with relocating, as their lives and the lives of their rescue animals have been threatened.

For many years, she and her family have selflessly dedicated all of their time, money, and resources to rescuing animals in her community.

Members of neighboring dog rescue, Bruno Project - who have received their fur babies from Irena or know of the wonderful work she does, you can appreciate the need here.

She has touched so many lives and needs our help now.

Irena has found a safe place to go, but they need approx $5000 CAD, asap to secure the rental with deposit - first/last month's rent.

"We moved to st Lucia the Caribbean primarily to rescue animals after I visited the island and witnessed their plight.

We have always struggled to make ends meet and lived very frugally our priorities were fully dedicated to saving the lives of the suffering.

6 years we struggled day in day out and somehow always managed to pay rent and bills.

We have been in the same house for the entire time mainly because of it's unique secluded location and the safety of the rescues.

Over 300 fosters have found forever homes from our care and there were desperate cases which no one else would have chanced but we always did.

There were paralyzed and sick animals we nursed to optimal health, who were then adopted by wonderful people.

There were many who didn't make it and left bleeding scars in our hearts, there are many little graves around the garden...

Lots of times we didn't even have food for ourselves but there was always food for the fur babies.

We rescued mainly dogs few cats few rabbits and chickens a turtle a goose a bat...

We called our little rescue Amazing Grace.

Recently our world crumbled.

The landlord turned against us completely and started trying to extort more money and threatened eviction.

We tried, we gave him what we didn't have extra on top of the rent, we begged and I cried.

My health took turn to no good from the stress but he really became merciless

Threatening emails, abusive phone calls and he reached a new level by canceling our phone and internet service today.

I'm by neighbors fence standing in the dark typing this so I can use their wifi.

He just wants to bully us out with crazy ridiculous timeliness.

He promised he will cut our power and water next.

We've paid our August rent plus all bills up to date and he's still doing it.

We went to ask a lawyer for help who said it was unthinkable what the landlord was doing until today they had a phone conversation and we were told that we basically had no rights.

We went pleading one last time with the landlord today and turned out they knew each other and drink together so there's that.

I heard the most deranged accusations and hateful remarks about the stupid useless dogs we help while people are starving and how he's coming next week and demanding we have no more than 2 dogs in the house. We have 12 right now some of which found a last refuge with us.

This now makes the situation untenable as we love our babies like our own children and many of them wouldn't even make it without us.

This would mean the end of our rescue we need to find a new home and he's taken all our money already.

We are so desperate that we are thinking about camping in the rough but what about the kitties and the chickens. ..

I feel like my brain is running in circles and I can no longer sleep at night and my chest is hurting like I don't remember it before.

We have 20 days and nowhere to go.

We thought to ask for help and a miracle"
