As-salamu alaykum (peace be upon you) to everyone, wherever you are.
This is not just my story.
This is the story of Gaza.
Gaza is home to people who dream, learn, love, and strive—just like anyone else in the world.
Students who wanted to study abroad, children who wanted to grow up safely, families who only wished for a normal life.
Many of us learned languages, skills, and cultures not to escape who we are, but to connect with the world, to communicate, to understand others, and to build bridges. We dreamed of traveling, studying in international universities, meeting people from different backgrounds, and experiencing life fully.
And then, the war started.
Families were forcibly displaced from the north of Gaza. Homes were destroyed. Entire neighborhoods disappeared. Parents made impossible decisions to protect their children from bombing, hunger, and fear. Loved ones were separated. Dreams were buried under rubble—but not erased.
Despite everything, Gaza’s people continue to resist despair. Not with weapons, but with hope, resilience, and dignity. We are not giving up on education, on dreams, or on humanity—even when everything around us tries to take that away.
That is why I have opened a donation link—not only for my family, but to help as many families in Gaza as possible.
There are countless people who urgently need financial support: for food, medicine, shelter, and basic survival. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in someone’s life.
Due to restrictions, a trusted friend of mine, Yasmeen Haouli, is managing the GoFundMe campaign on our behalf and ensuring that the funds reach those in need securely.
To everyone who donates, shares, or even speaks about Gaza—thank you.
Your solidarity reminds us that we are not alone.
Contrary to how we are often portrayed, Palestinians are neither subhuman nor superhuman.
We are human beings—people with fears, hopes, dreams, and pain—enduring inhumane conditions.
Standing with Gaza today means more than words can express.
It means choosing humanity.
