Hello everyone,

We are Eshak, from Kathmandu, and Juliana, from Milan, two young people who grew up in completely different parts of the world, speak different languages, and live very different lives.

However, diversity can become richness, strength, and closeness when something bigger happens, when injustice kills dreams of rebirth and freedom.

This is what happened on September 8th in Nepal, where young people, with hearts full of hope, lost their lives during a peaceful demonstration to tell their government they were no longer willing to endure continuous injustices, that they refused to believe there would be no better future for them.

Not everyone knows that corruption in Nepal runs deep, with political elites enriching themselves while ordinary citizens struggle without proper healthcare, education, or job opportunities. Public funds that should build hospitals, schools, and infrastructure are instead lost to mismanagement and favoritism. This broken system has forced many Nepalese to leave their homeland in search of a future their own country has failed to provide.

This is not just about aid, it’s about standing in solidarity with the young generation of Nepal who are risking everything for change.

2) support the families of the martyrs, some of whom have lost their breadwinners

3) support young people in building a network that can have political, economic, and social impact.

Siamo Eshak, di Kathmandu, e Juliana, di Milano, due giovani cresciuti in parti completamente diverse del mondo, parliamo lingue diverse e viviamo vite molto diverse.

Tuttavia, la diversità può diventare ricchezza, forza e vicinanza quando succede qualcosa di più grande, quando l’ingiustizia uccide sogni di rinascita e libertà.

Questo è ciò che è successo l’8 settembre in Nepal, dove giovani, con il cuore pieno di speranza, hanno perso la vita durante una manifestazione pacifica per dire al loro governo che non erano più disposti a subire continue ingiustizie, che rifiutavano di credere che per loro non ci sarebbe stato un futuro migliore.

Non tutti sanno che la corruzione in Nepal è radicata profondamente, con le élite politiche che si arricchiscono mentre i cittadini comuni lottano senza un’adeguata assistenza sanitaria, istruzione o opportunità di lavoro. I fondi pubblici che dovrebbero servire a costruire ospedali, scuole e infrastrutture vengono invece persi in cattiva gestione e favoritismi. Questo sistema malato ha costretto molti nepalesi a lasciare la loro terra in cerca di un futuro che il loro stesso paese non è riuscito a offrire.

Non si tratta solo di aiuti, ma di stare in solidarietà con la giovane generazione nepalese che rischia tutto per il cambiamento.
