Hello world. My wife, brother, sister-in-law and friends had the privilege of visiting the great city of Marrakech recently. We met incredible people along the way and wanted to create this GoFundMe to help them.

We were there during the earthquake and experienced the devastation and tragedy first hand. We were also blessed by our riad owner, Jihane Nizar, her family and a driver, Rachid Iskrane, that drove us to safety that very evening.

They all sacrificed their well-being to ensure our safety. This is something we will never forget. From helping us gather our essentials to evacuate, to bringing us blankets and pillows to sit and lay on in the streets of Marrakech and sacrificing time away from their family to drive us 3 hours to Casablanca. We will always be in their debt.

We have an aggressive goal of $10,000 and need your help to get there. Tourism is their primary source of income and they will likely not be receiving tourist anytime soon. Our mutual goal is to provide 60% of the funds to Rachid to help rebuild his home and parents home and 40% to Jihane Nizar to assist with repairing her riad. All funds will be sent securely via Western Union. Anything you can help with is genuinely appreciated.
