Hi, our names are Danielle and Zach Daitch. We live in the Bet Shemesh area in Israel and we know that the entire Jewish community has been significantly impacted by what happened last Shabbos/Simchas Torah. We all have found noble causes and ways to support what is going on here, and the love is felt deeply in Israel by its citizens and soldiers.

At first, we learned about families who had been displaced from the south/Gaza envelope communities just to our little community here, but we have learned quickly that hundreds of people have been relocated to Bet Shemesh with very few personal items and many of them have lost everything. Within the span of a week they have gone from living normal lives to having only each other.

We have been in contact with someone who is distributing funds DIRECTLY to these families in our community and taking them to stores in our area to supply clothing, food, and essentials to the families who need them. This is a "grassroots" fundraiser which we hope we can formalize over time. For now, this is entirely volunteerism from the individuals who have brought these families to Bet Shemesh. We were raising funds on our own but have moved to this site to enable better collection. We will distribute the funds to the families directly and they will be used as soon as they are received.

Please keep in mind, this is a "grassroots" fundraiser. The person responsible for these families simply saw a need and volunteered to help them. We will work to formalize it more as time passes.

There are many causes - and we know this. Please continue to give as your heart sees fit. But if you have an ability to donate to these families whose lives have been flipped upside down, it is greatly appreciated.
