My name is Carla Salazar, I have created a go fund me on behalf of the Yepez family. Elizabeth and I went through graduate school together and have stayed connected since then. Now we have a different connection, the words "brain cancer." Elizabeth has a heart of gold and takes on a very impactful role as the oldest daughter, and the one who takes care of her family's needs especially in this very chaotic time.  Elizabeth's father Raul Yepez, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma on October 4, 2019. Raul has dedicated his entire life to his family. Raul came to the United States to provide a better life for his family and has worked in the fields and canneries for many years. Raul has made sure to see his children Elizabeth 26, Yadira 16, and Ulises 21 succeed. Elizabeth's brother Ulises will be graduating soon and the family hopes Raul can share this special milestone he and his wife, Gricelda of 25 years have worked so hard for. My hope is that with this monetary contribution we can help ease this very difficult time for the Yepez family. Their main priority is to spend time together and continue being a united family as they have always been.
