To all Family and Friends,
Many of us have the pleasure of knowing the Blanco family. They are selfless, hard-working, and are known as being super positive and welcoming to everyone. Unfortunately, the constant smile on their faces has now changed. Peggy, Rocio, and Kery are three sisters dealing with the terrible news that both of their parents, Max Rolando Blanco Oropeza and Elva Hermenegilda Pomalaza Araujo have tested positive for Covid-19.
In Lima, Peru all the hospitals are over-capacity due to the amount of people being sick, not even mentioning the precarious sanitary system that continues battling the country. The only option the Blanco sisters had, in order to save their dad’s life, was to take him to a private hospital. Max, who showed the most significant symptoms of Covid-19, requires oxygen 24/7 due to his failing lungs.
A couple days after Max was hospitalized, Elva showed symptoms as well. Sadly, she also tested positive for Covid-19. Due to the lack of availability in the hospitals and clinics, Elva was only admitted to the emergency room to be checked. They could not find a hospital or clinic for her to stay and receive treatment. Kery, the oldest daughter, has taken the responsibility of monitoring their mother’s health. She has set up a room with an oxygen tank and other requirements to take care of her at home.
The Blanco family is now dealing not only emotionally, but also financially with their parents being sick. Due to the limited financial income at this time due to this pandemic and the state of emergency in the country, which mandates people to stay at home. Their financial situation in the Blanco family has become overwhelming.
I ask for them, please give some love and support to our beloved friends to whom many of you know. If you do not know them, I call on your solidarity in these difficult times on which no one, at this time, is unfamiliar.
The treatments and care for both their mother and father have been financially crippling. Their Peruvian state insurance does not cover the private clinic, the medication, oxygen tank, and other treatments for both Max and Elva.
Please find it in your heart to support the Blanco family in their hour of need. No donations are too small or too big at this time; everything helps. The Blanco sisters are trying to stay strong and are fighting with their parents to keep them in good health. Please keep the Blanco family in your thoughts and prayers,

Muchos de nosotros tenemos el placer de conocer a la familia Blanco. Son personas muy honestas, desinteresados, trabajadores y conocidos por ser súper positivos, acogedores con todo su entorno. Hace unos días esta terrible enfermedad Civid 19 ha llegado al seno familiar, a los más querido para ellos, sus Padres. Peggy, Rocio y Kery están lidiando con la terrible situación de emergencia, Max Rolando Blanco Oropeza y Elva Hermenegilda Pomalaza Araujo, están batallando con este terrible mal del cual nadie está ajeno.
En Lima, Perú, la atención en los hospitales ha colapsado debido a la cantidad de personas enfermas y a la precariedad del sistema sanitario del Estado. La única opción que tenían las hermanas Blanco para salvar a su Padre era llevar a Max a una clínica privada donde consiguieron por suerte una habitación libre. El Padre se encuentra en un cuadro de pulmones defectuosos los cuales requieren oxígeno 24/7.
Luego de 2 días de estar hospitalizado Max, Elva, la madre, mostró síntomas y dió positivo al Covid-19. Debido a la falta de disponibilidad de habitaciones en hospitales y clínicas, Elva recibirá tratamiento en la casa de la hija mayor Kery, la cual ha asumido la responsabilidad de controlar la salud de su madre. Ella ha establecido una habitación con un tanque de oxígeno y otros requisitos para cuidarla en casa.
Debido a los limitados ingreso con que cuenta las hermanas Blanco, en estos momentos se encuentran en una situación financiera asfixiante con todos los gastos que están lidiando en este momento. Les pido encarecidamente, su apoyo con la familia Blanco tan querida, al cual muchos de ustedes conocen y a los que no, hago un llamado a su solidaridad en estos momentos tan dificiles del cual nadie es ajeno.
Espero haber llegado a sus corazones para apoyarlos en estos momentos de emergencia. Toda donación será gratamente bienvenida, ya que en estos momentos todo suma. A pesar que los dos pilares de la familia están batallando esta gran enfermedad, las hermanas Blanco intentan mantenerse fuertes y luchadoras.
