Fallen Firefighter Jonas Aragones

Donation protected
Late on the evening of February 15, 2021 Firefighter Jonas Aragones was fatally wounded during a rocket attack on the Kurdish regional capital of Erbil, one of the rockets landed within the confines of the Fire Department on the coalition forces military base and impacted in the tent that Jonas and fellow firefighters used as accommodation. Throughout the past decade Jonas has worked as a firefighter abroad protecting those that serve to protect us, he spent much of the year abroad living and working on U.S. military bases throughout Iraq in order to provide and give his family the life he thought they deserved.

Jonas was an incredibly happy soul and thoughtful person whose general presence lit up a room. Jonas was known amongst his coworkers and friends to be one of the first people up in the mornings and always greeted you with a friendly smile and a cup of coffee in his hand. Throughout 2020 Jonas was unable to travel home to the Philippines to be with his family due to the ongoing pandemic. Just days after his untimely death Jonas was due to finally transition home and spend quality time with his family in a brand-new home that he was excited to see for the first time.

Jonas leaves behind family and 3 children. We are asking for donations to assist his family who currently have not received compensation or a wage due to legal delays. We understand that current times are tough for everyone. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will enable his family to purchase essentials including food etc. and help them pay bills.
