Hello, my name is Dha’Zhea Freeman, and I am currently a senior at Howard High School of Technology. I am ranked 5th in my class with a GPA of 3.96. I have been a manager of the Howard Leading Ladies Basketball team and a member of National Honor Society. I have interned for the Delaware Federal Court House under Magistrate Judge Christopher Burke, and also completed my coop education at the Federal Public Defense Office. Some of my accomplishments include: Skills USA silver medalist, 2019 MLK Voice 4 Youth third place winner, becoming a certified 9-1-1 call operator, and publishing my poetry book Cognizant in June 2018. I graduate May 30, 2019, and I have decided to continue my education at the University of Delaware.
Upon my acceptance to UD I applied for a program called World Scholars. This program allows the accepted members to study abroad their freshman and junior year while also giving them tons of intern and career opportunities! I have been accepted into the World Scholars Program and will pursue my bachelors degree in English Education this Fall 2019 in Athens, Greece. Although some of my scholarships and grants did cover the cost, I am still required to pay the difference including a deposit fee of $1,000 by May 1, 2019. With this opportunity I anticipate to widen my perspective and get exposure to more diverse cultures. I will not only excell in my education major, but the exposure will inspire me as a developing author.
Thank you for your support in helping me to get the best post secondary education possible, I appreciate all prayers and donations to my Study Abroad this fall!
