Falkor was saved from euthanasia when O'Malley Alley Cat Rescue community pulled him from the Arlington, Texas, Animal Shelter five weeks ago.
This 8 year old, former street cat is the most easy-going, cooperative, soulful cat we've ever met. Despite pain from chronic stomatitis and a host of mysterious issues, Falkor remains committed in his affection and has a strong will to live.
Our local vets have tried everything they can to understand his problems, but tests have come back negative or inconclusive. They've treated what they can with the usual, non-invasive approaches, but relief has been short-lived.
We now have the opportunity to take Falkor to see national experts at the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine.
Brian and I are taking him to College Station this afternoon and staying overnight to do whatever it takes to help him. We're contributing our own funds and time, but we know that we aren't the only ones who love Falkor. If you can join us in helping this special cat, it would be greatly appreciated.
