Help Get David Home
Donation protected
My name is Erica and I am a friend of David's in Charleston. If you have stepped foot into the Charleston nightlife scene you've probably have met David Seginer, with his cowboy hat, retro sunglasses and camera in hand! If you've never had the opportunity to talk to him, you've probably have had your picture taken by him. David was born in Israel and moved to the U.S to build a better life for himself, specifically he moved to Charleston. David doesn't get to visit his family in Israel very often and he just so happened to plan a trip in October back to Israel. His sister just gave birth to a new baby weeks before the tragedies began.
David is unfortunately stuck in Israel and unable to return to his home in Charleston, which also means he is out of work as well. Because David isn't a U.S citizen the embassy won't assist him in getting home. David's original return flight got cancelled and American Airline's is not rescheduling the flight due to the ongoing conflict. They also have not refunded his ticket, instead told him that flights will likely start up again in December. There are limited flights leaving Israel at this time and the flights that are available are very expensive.
Although so many people care for David and would gladly lend him money to get to safety. David is adamant that he does not want to take any handouts, but rather work back for people's donations.
Because David is such a talented photographer, I thought it was only right to offer photography sessions in exchange for your contribution.
