How does one feel when they hear the good news that he/she became parent. Just like other parents Faizaan's parents were also excited and thrilled to be a newborn's parents but their happiness didn't last long. Faizaan Hossain is 6 months old born with congenital heart problem in Dhaka, Bangladesh. After his birth, on February 22, 2020, not like normal child he was showing multiple symptoms. He was having cyanosis, breathing problem and restlessness.
Different pediatricians were consulted and after several investigations it was revealed that he is born with a heart valve and other heart septal problems. Echo cardiogram revealed that he has a rare disease called Ebstein Anomaly. Below are the findings:
* Ebstein Anomaly of tricuspid valve
* Atrialization of RV
* Hugely Dilated RA
* Small ASD
* Small apical muscular VSD
* Moderate TR
The doctors advised the parents to take him to India for this specialized surgery but unfortunately the parents are not financially capable to go abroad and also this COVID 19 situation is not allowing them to travel as well.
At one point, the parent decided to delay the surgery but unfortunately his condition is not allowing the delay. The local specialists suggested that, the sooner the surgery is done better the prognosis.
So the parents have decided to follow the advice of the local specialists and have the procedure done in Dhaka ASAP.
This procedure requires 10 Lac BDT equivalent to approximately $10,000. So, we are asking generous minded people to extend their financial support to this family to have his surgery done at earliest.
