Faith Jones Debut EP: Self-Study
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Faith Jones and I'm a singer-songwriter based out of Durham, North Carolina. I recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2020 with a degree in music after studying vocal performance. I come from a musical family, so singing and performing has been integral to my development as an artist and as a person. All of my experience in music has finally led me to explore my personal development with a debut EP, an album called Self-Study.
Self-Study is a project I've been working on since the release of my first single in 2019, "The Absence of Light." It has required a lot of internal reflection as well as an exploration of what it is that I want to say as an artist and how I want to say it. The songs on Self-Study reflect my personal journey with mental health and self-acceptance, and are influenced by a variety of genres, including R&B, musical theatre, dance music, and rock.
Although working on my first EP has certainly been a daunting process, it has been incredibly rewarding. It has helped me realize that songwriting is a passion of mine and that I am capable of creating an album of original music and lyrics from start to finish.
This is where your help comes in! Through album planning, I've calculated the funds that I need to make this release happen. Your contributions to my debut EP will help me cover the costs of production, mixing and mastering, as well as distribution. Your donations will help me release this album by the end of 2021! If you are unable to give, sharing this GoFundMe will also be beneficial to making Self-Study happen!
Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
