As many of you across Maryland know, large storms passed through Maryland yesterday evening. Many of you may have seen the pictures on Facebook, social media, or the news of the devastation and damage the storm left in its wake.
Unfortunately, my cousin's farm was hit hard. They lost animals, farming equipment, feeders, waterers, and damage to the houses and fencing for the animals.
If you know Robert and Connie Grill, you know the grace, kindness, and love that they exude. They love their life of being on the farm and have worked so incredibly hard to build the life that they have. Life has thrown them many challenges and they have patiently navigated each one. Their faith, courage, and perseverance are inspirational.
Farmers like Robert and Connie (all three of their children) are needed in our lives today. They passionately care for their animals, treat them humanely, strive daily to be better farmers, and continue to be amazing humans.
They need help to provide funds to replace the damages and equipment that was destroyed. I know that Robert and Connie have done a lot for their community and now it's our turn to help them.
It is beyond appreciated if you can provide any amount to help support Faithful Friends Farm and its amazing family and animals. By helping them, you continue supporting small family businesses, regenerative farming, horse rescues, trusted non-gmo food sources, and great farmers. If you cannot donate, we understand, please help share this to support our cause. Prayers are needed for the family at this time. They all become quite attached to their animals and having lost them last night has been very emotionally difficult and sad for all of them.
Thank you!
These are the only photos I could share, I want to add that they also lost a horse and other animals from last night's storm. Their hearts are broken.
