Between working to serve the Lord, the community, and raising a family... this family has experienced so much hardship over the last 18 years. But they have never given up and always took the next challenge knowing our everloving God will protect and guide them. It isn't easy to continue to seek the Lord when you receive the news from the Doctor that you have Cancer... to becoming a Cancer SURVIVOR. Even to overcomming the battle of Heart surgery and then Heart surgery again... this family doesn't give up and this family doesn't stop serving our everlasing Lord.
Shortly after bringing in 2017, Christina experience compliacations to her previous Heart Surgery. One day the complications were so terrible, an ambulance came to pick her up from work and from there she stayed in the hospital for 5 days. After many dicussions and tests it came to light that the device in Christina's heart was "leaking" and would need to be addressed. A few days later her Doctor recommended another surgery to place a second device to fix the "leak" in her heart. Days later Christina was REBORN! Amen to our Lord Almighty!
The journey has been full of love from friends and family but has also caused Christina and her Husband, Shaun, to miss a lot of work for her stay in the Hospital and her long-term recovery. With 2 furbabies, 3 lovely children to care for, medical bills, and household bills to care for...finances have been tough to manage. Urgent needs include payments related to the house and medical bills.
As many know, Christina is the type of person who "would give her shirt off her back for someone" but better yet, HAS given her shirt off her back for me and many others. Let's show Christina and her family that WE are a community of warriors who will give OUR shirts our backs for them in their time of need.
Timothy Keller once said and I thought it fit perfectly, "True Christian gratitude rejoices not in how one's self is changed, but rejoices in the one who has changed you."
