Faith Victoriano

Faith Victoriano was a loving mother, wife, and sister who sadly lost the battle against cancer on the 17th of September 2023. As a Filipino mother who had flown to the UK, 6 months after giving birth to her daughter, she worked hard to get to the UK and start her 20-year career as a nurse with an honors degree in Nursing and experience in communication systems.

She was first diagnosed with stage 4 oral cancer in March as she had complaints of pain in her tongue since December 2022, she would have never thought that a tongue ulcer would, in reality, be a tumor in her tongue. Since then she underwent surgery for a hemiglossectomy with the risk of not being able to taste or speak anymore. Although the surgery was successful, the cancer unfortunately came back even more aggressively when she had just begun undergoing immunotherapy.

My mother was one of the strongest and most nurturing women I know, with a smile that can light up the room in any given situation. She was known to always welcome others into her home and listen to their problems. She was always positive in any given situation and her faith in God had helped comfort her in times such as this.

Any donations or spread of the word is greatly appreciated as this page is not only for the use of raising funds for funeral expenses but to also bring awareness to the possibilities of developing Oral Cancer.
