Our beloved Aunt Shirley recently suffered a stroke that has completely changed her daily life. While we are so thankful she is still with us, her road to recovery will take time, therapy, and a lot of strength.
If you know Aunt Shirley , you know she’s the heart of her church and community. She does everything — from cleaning and mowing the lawn to getting the church ready for functions, dinners, and meetings. She cooks for the hot dog sales and monthly dinners, decorates for Christmas (and every other event!), and helps with weddings, funerals, and communion. She coordinates the Adult Daycare needs, and even makes sure the church’s stray cat is fed.
Every year, she also spearheads “Save A Christmas,” an annual adoption of about 10 local children in need, ensuring their Christmas wishes come true. She’s the kind of person who gives endlessly — her time, her energy, and her heart — to help others.
Right now, she’s focusing on recovery and taking things day by day as she works to regain her strength and independence. The medical bills, therapy costs, and living expenses during this time will add up quickly, and she could use some help as she takes this journey toward healing.
Anyone who knows Aunt Shirley knows she’s the “go-to” person for so many — always ready with a smile, a prayer, or a helping hand. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping her with medical expenses, therapy, and the support she needs to heal. Please consider donating and sharing this page to spread the word.
Thank you for showing love and support to someone who has given so much of it to others.
