Faith Over Fear: Standing with Bryson

My name is Skye, and I am Bryson’s cousin. I truly believe God is working through Bryson’s story. In honor of Bryson, today I’m asking for your prayers and support as our family stands beside him through this fight.

Bryson is a strong, loving young boy who has already faced more than most people will in a lifetime. Even in his hardest moments, he has remained full of light while bringing joy, laughter, and strength to everyone around him.

At l a young age, Bryson was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a life-threatening heart condition that changed everything overnight. His heart could no longer do its job, and he was placed on the transplant list. Beginning a fight no child should ever have to face.

To stay alive, Bryson relied on a Berlin Heart, a machine that took over the work of his heart and kept blood flowing through his body to protect his brain and vital organs.

Bryson was connected to a large, air-driven pump by tubes placed directly into his heart. He was tethered to this machine 24 hours a day.

For a child, this meant no running freely, no playing like other children, no normal childhood moments—just waiting, and fighting, every single day.

What makes Bryson’s journey even more remarkable is how long he endured this.

Many children are only able to stay on the Berlin Heart for a few weeks or months.
Bryson spent 11 months—nearly an entire year—connected to this life-saving machine.

Eleven months of strength.
Eleven months of courage.
Eleven months of choosing to keep going.

After a long and difficult journey, Bryson received his first heart transplant. For a moment, it felt like hope had finally arrived while everything was going well, and his family finally had a chance to breathe again.

Everything changed.

Bryson became unresponsive and had to be rushed to the hospital. In an instant, his family was once again facing the unimaginable. He was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and was experiencing signs of heart rejection. There is currently no cure for coronary artery disease. Only another transplant would help.

After emergency care and evaluation, doctors determined that Bryson needed another heart transplant.

Once again, Bryson showed his strength.

Today, Bryson is recovering after receiving his second heart transplant—a true miracle and a fresh start. This next chapter is one of healing, strength, and hope as he continues to grow stronger each day, surrounded by love and support.

Through it all, his family has never left his side.

They have traveled back and forth, stepped away from work, and now remain close to the hospital so they can be there for every moment of his recovery every step, every milestone, every breath.

We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden on Bryson’s family during this time, so they can focus on what matters most: being there for him.

Donations will help cover:
• Travel expenses
• Temporary housing near the hospital
• Lost income
• Daily living costs during recovery

Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference.

If you are unable to give, sharing Bryson’s story can help just as much.

Bryson has already shown the world what true strength looks like.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

Bryson’s story isn’t over yet. God is continuing to show up and show out for Bryson, and all will be well. Thank you for keeping Bryson and his family in your thoughts and prayers
