Hello, my name is Alisha McCarthy, and I want to begin by thanking you for taking a moment to hear my story. On December 22, 2020, my life was forever changed when I was shot, leaving me a quadriplegic. Since that tragic day, I’ve been walking (and wheeling) through one of the hardest seasons of my life — but I’ve held on to my faith every step of the way.
I’m a single mother doing my best to raise my child with love, faith, and resilience. Though my body is limited, my spirit is strong because I know God is not finished with me yet. I believe He has a plan for me and that even in the midst of pain, He is working all things for good (Romans 8:28).
Because of my injury, I am unable to work and live on a very low income. I’m reaching out in faith, praying that God will touch the hearts of others to help me access the therapy and recovery resources I so desperately need. These include:
• Physical therapy to maintain and improve my strength
• Occupational therapy to help me regain independence
• Transportation, medical equipment, and other recovery options
• And above all, support to be the mother my child needs and deserves.
This journey has not been easy, but I know God is still writing my story. I believe in miracles, in the power of prayer, and in the kindness of His people. If you feel led to give, know that your support will not only bless me — it will bless my child and strengthen our walk of faith.
Even if you can't give financially, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing of this campaign mean the world to me.
Thank you for letting God use you to help carry this burden. I am trusting Him to provide through people like you.
With love and faith,
Alisha McCarthy
