On October 21st, Baby Easton entered the world under the most difficult of circumstances. He was born not breathing and with no pulse. For 15 minutes, the medical team worked tirelessly—performing CPR and giving medications—until, by God’s grace, Easton began to breathe on his own and his little heart began to beat strong.
Because of the severity of his condition, Easton was flown by medical helicopter from his small hometown to a children’s hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, more than an hour away from where his mom, Carlie (my sister), lives.
Since then, Easton has faced many battles. He has experienced multiple seizures, required CPR again, and is currently on a ventilator with other intensive medical interventions. Doctors expect him to remain in the NICU for at least a month as he continues to fight and recover.
This journey has brought not only emotional and physical challenges, but also financial ones. With Carlie unable to work while she remains by her baby’s side, and with the cost of travel, meals, lodging, and medical expenses piling up, the financial strain is heavy.
We know that God has a plan for Easton’s life, and we are placing our trust in Him. Many of you have already been lifting Easton and our family up in prayer, and for that we are so grateful.
If you feel led, we ask that you would consider contributing to help ease the burden of these unexpected expenses. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. More than anything, we ask that you continue to pray for Easton’s healing, for wisdom for his doctors, and for strength for Carlie and the entire family during this time.
Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your generosity. We believe that Easton’s story will one day be a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
