Faith Ford’s Kidney Recovery

Hello, my name is Faith Ford. I’m a 23 year old Type 1 Diabetic. Most people my age spent this Halloween out at parties, enjoying time with friends, or handing out candy to trick or treaters. I was fighting for my life, and have been for several weeks, due to a sudden illness that nearly shut down my kidneys. Through the diligence, support, and medical treatment given to me, I am finally on the road to recovery. This journey has taken a toll on me, keeping me from working for nearly 4 weeks. I have exhausted all of my resources, and so I am kindly asking for a donation to help cover the last of my hospital fees. I am not asking for a dime more that what the hospital charges include, and any support towards this goal would be a gift beyond any thanks I could give. My journey to full kidney functionality continues for me, as I am required to continue with outpatient dialysis treatments until I can make a recovery. My doctors at Fort Sanders are confident that due to the sudden and severe decline of function, along with how young I am, that a full recovery is very likely.
