Several months ago, I began experiencing severe headaches, overwhelming fatigue, and even blackouts. Despite visiting multiple doctors in San Antonio, I was left without answers—just suggestions that it might be stress or my diabetes. The uncertainty was frustrating and costly, as I spent thousands of dollars searching for help. Then, after a series of confusing test results and delays, my doctor finally called to say they had found a mass. Even then, getting a clear diagnosis was a struggle, and I felt like I was being given the runaround.

That’s when God put the Fite family in my life. More than just work friends, they advocated for me and helped me get a referral to MD Anderson within three days. Everything changed from there. The doctors at MD Anderson were incredible—they reviewed all my records, ran extensive tests, and within days, provided more answers than I’d received in months. The biopsy was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had, but my faith kept me strong. They found three tumors: two benign and one cancerous, located on the lower right side of my brain. The weeks that followed were filled with travel, more tests, and emotional ups and downs. I was physically drained and mentally broken, but the support from my church, new friends at MD Anderson, and my faith helped me keep going.

I wanted to share a quick update and say thank you again for all the prayers and support. The surgery was a success, and I’ve been home for the past couple of weeks resting and recovering. In the next phase of this journey, I will be returning to MD Anderson for the next eight weeks to undergo radiation and chemotherapy to make sure all the cancer is gone. We are staying hopeful, grateful, and trusting God each step of the way. Your continued prayers, shares, and support mean more than words can express.
