Unfortunately, our mother has lost her battle and has gone home to be with God. We are heartbroken beyond words.
We will be hosting a Celebration of Life to honor her beautiful spirit and the love she gave so freely. If you feel led to support us in any way — whether through donations, sharing this message, or simply attending the service — we would be deeply grateful.
During this incredibly difficult time, our greatest wish is to give her the farewell she deserves, surrounded by family, love, and light.
Original:
Louisa has triple-negative, stage four metastatic breast cancer, an extremely aggressive form of the disease. Over the past six months, her condition has declined rapidly, and her mobility and energy are now very limited. Despite this, she has been repeatedly denied Social Security and Medicaid, leaving her with no insurance and no income. While medical bills continue to pile up, her greatest concern is not the financial strain—it’s getting the chance to fight.
We are desperately trying to get her into a cancer treatment center, so she can receive immunotherapy and battle this disease with the best care available. She is surrounded by family who love her deeply and stand firmly in her corner, cheering her on every step of the way.
She has so much to fight for—her children, her grandchildren, her husband, and countless family members and friends. She is the kindest, strongest, and hardest-working woman any of us have ever known. She lived a healthy life, was mindful of what she put into her body, and is truly the least deserving person of this illness.
Immunotherapy can cost thousands of dollars per session if paid out of pocket. Getting her into a cancer treatment center is costly, but most will accept out-of-pocket visits until she is approved for insurance. She has spent months in and out of hospitals, fighting every day just to stay alive, and she desperately needs this opportunity to receive the care she requires.
She loves the beach, the ocean, nature, and being outdoors with her grandchildren. More than anything, she wants to feel well enough to walk freely again, not be constantly sick and exhausted, and to enjoy time with the people she loves most. She is a woman of deep faith who trusts God completely, even in this darkness. Her smile, her laugh, and the way she has always shown up for others have touched so many lives. She continues to face this fight with grace, courage, and an unwavering belief that God is with her every step of the way.
