I am starting this go Fund me for my daughter, Faith Caton. She has been in and out of hospitals or nursing homes since Thanksgiving 2024. First, she had her gallbladder out - not a big deal for most of us- but for her this is when her journey began. She went home for a few days, she started falling...her knees would buckle and down she went. Faith was taken back to the hospital...where the doctors found a pus pocket from her gallbladder surgery. She was admitted into the hospital, where she continued to fall. The doctors did test after test to see what was going on with her. She got sent to NHC in Laurens, SC, from there she went to a hospital in Abbeville, SC. That is where the doctors finally diagnosed her with Gilliam berets syndrome. This was caused from the pus pocket that turned into an autoimmune disease and caused her to become paralyzed from the waist down and in her hands. Faith did some physical therapy there, then she was sent to Atlanta, GA. She had all of this in Atlanta by herself. I know shes been scared, worried and all of her emotions all over the place. It has been just too far for our family to go. Faith has not worked since Thanksgiving 2024. As her mother i have not had the means to help her. She has a newer car she got before all of this, rent and other bills she cant pay due to this adventure. I just dont want her to lose everything she has worked so hard for. Fairh has a 7 year old son that shes only seen a few times since this all started. She misses him terribly. Faith is working so hard in Atlanta so she can get back home to her child and family. I am her biggest cheerleader and so very proud of her for all the work shes done to get back to a "normal" life. Please help her.
