Our dear friend Andrew Puryear—beloved husband to Lilly and devoted father to Josiah, as pictured above—has recently received a diagnosis of colon cancer. This news has been unexpected and overwhelming, yet we are holding fast to our faith, trusting that God is near, faithful, and sovereign—even in the midst of uncertainty.

As Andrew begins this journey of testing, treatment, and healing, the burdens extend far beyond the physical battle. Medical expenses, time away from work, travel for appointments, and the everyday costs of life continue even when everything feels paused. This season requires not only strength and courage, but the support of a loving and faithful community.

We believe deeply in the power of prayer and in the hands-and-feet love of others. Scripture reminds us:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
