My dad, Dave, has spent his life showing up for others — for Lompoc Valley, for his church family, and most of all for us. He's a man of deep faith, a believer in Christ who has always lived out that faith by helping the people around him, often quietly and without expecting anything in return.

Now Dave is the one who needs help.

Dave has already started treatment for cancer, and the road ahead is going to be a long one — for him and for our whole family. My mom, Lois, is by his side every step of the way, and she's going to need extra support and care too as she helps him through this.

Dave isn't just our dad — he's a husband to Lois, a father to 3 kids, a father-in-law to 2 sons-in-law, and "Papa" to 4 grandchildren who adore him. He has so much life left to live, and we're asking for help so he can focus on healing and being here for all of us.

Any contribution will go directly toward:

• Follow-up appointments and ongoing medical care

• Travel costs to and from treatment

• Extra support and care for Lois during this time

Dave has spent his life pouring into others in faith and in love. Now we're asking his community — the people he's helped, prayed for, and shown up for — to help carry him through this.
