On April 6, 2024 I was diagnosed with a large liver tumor after believing I had a kidney stone. As you can imagine we were absolutely surprised and devistated by the news. The following couple of weeks were followed by biopsies, hospital stay and eventually a liver resection.

I began Xeloda in June as I was given the good news that I had clean surgical boarders and lymph nodes. It was planned to do oral chemo for 6 months or 9 cycles. I have continued most of life’s functions with some side effects along the way but had been doing ok with things.

This month I began having some of my initial symptoms. We chose to do all my scans early due to some of the symptoms. In April when we did scans initially there was a small Nodule on my lung and this little thing has always worried me. Well after scans including a PET scan we have been told that my Cholangiocarcinoma has metastasized to my bones and lungs.

This diagnosis is defined as terminal… I have lots of steps before me that include a port, heavy chemo, immune therapy and radiation. While my diagnosis is “terminal” my faith tells me only one man knows my journey and he has traveled every road before me. I believe in my healing and I have faith in the miracles that only our God can create.
