My name is Michael Timmons. I am a husband and father of 3 daughters. I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in November 2019. I was admitted into the hospital on my birthday with unexplained swelling in my legs and was discharged after a few days with a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease due to uncontrolled blood pressure and diabetes. I followed up regularly with a nephrologist and had a fistula placed to prepare for dialysis. In June of 2020, I began dialysis. I am currently doing hemodialysis four days a week at home. I have also had multiple eye surgeries on both my left and right eyes due to retinal detachments and cataracts. This also affected my ability to drive. During this transitional period, I unfortunately lost my job due to my repeated and long-term absence from work. That was a hard time for my family and me, but we got through it, and I was eventually able to return to work part -time. I currently do not have long-term disability through my job, and no other form of income. My wife is my caregiver, so she is not able to work due to the demands of taking care of me and caring for our children.
As we prepare for my kidney transplant, please consider donating to help assist my family and to help us survive. We are raising funds to help cover the cost of medical expenses, travel, and other expenses that we will be responsible for during the recovery period. We have faith that God will continue to take care of us just as he always has. Thank you all in advance for your prayers and donations. May God multiply back to you everything that you bless my family and me with.
