On February 6th Lily was admitted to the PICU at the children's hospital after her parents noticed uncontrollable rapid eye movements and shaking hands. They learned Baby Lily was having seizures due to an inner brain bleed. Since being admitted Lily has had hundreds of seizures and is suffering with severe brain damage especially on the left side of her brain.

The doctors said she would likely not survive the next 72 hours, she has exceeded their prognosis. The doctors also advised if Lily were to survive she would have no quality of life, never being able to walk, talk,move, eat or breathe on her own. Lily is trying to prove them wrong. The doctors have yet to understand what has caused the severity of the damage and bleed in the brain.

Genetic testing of her blood has been sent off because they suspect Lily has a rare blood condition, they are testing for 40 different conditions and the results take 3-4 weeks to come back . Lily was receiving daily blood transfusions and had 14 different medications being pumped into her little body. Since then they have managed to gain some control over her seizures, though that is something Lily will live with for the rest of her life. Her last MRI shows minimal new bleeding in her brain.

Ricky and Shawna ask for countless prayers as the uncertainty of Lily's future solely lies in God's hands. May he use Lily's doctors to do his work. Miracles cannot happen without extenuating circumstances.
