Demetris’s Journey of Faith and Fight!
If you’ve ever met Demetris (Pnut), you know his smile. It’s contagious;
the kind that lights up a room before he even says a word.
He carries a joy that makes you feel seen, encouraged, and included just by being around him. For years, he has stood in the gap for so many by praying, counseling, loving, and leading. When called upon for anything he never hesitates to show up, just an all around faithful servant.
In December 2024, Demetris was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Since then, he has fought courageously through treatments, hospitalizations, and financial exhaustion. He has kept his faith strong while continuing to love others, his family, wife and children!!
Demetris, even in Sickness and setbacks still when called upon , fulfils his “God called” mission as a Faithful Assistant Pastor at FPC of Magee. He is an anointed and phenomenal Man of God; he has spent years praying for others, giving encouragement and reminding people that God is still in control and saves.
Through it all, one thing has continued to guide him: The Serenity Prayer.
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” He has walked this journey with that kind of surrender and courage always putting God first and trusting he has a Plan. He has always been the one reminding others that storms don’t last forever.
After exhausting local treatment options, he plans to seek professional opinions elsewhere. At this is a very critical time, he is preparing to travel to California to pursue a holistic healing journey trusting that God knows best!
This next step comes with significant financial strain. Travel, treatment, and caring for his family during this season will require the same kind of support he has so freely given to others.
The man who has lifted so many in love and prayer now needs us to lift him.
We are asking everyone everywhere would you please Stand and Join in the fight with Demetris and his family.
Pray boldly!!
Give generously!!
Share widely!!
We truly believe this is not the end of his story, but another step to a powerful testimony!! With faith, community, and support, the best chapters are still ahead.
We’re believing for a miracle, and We’re not taking No for an answer!!!! One this for sure, “it’s not over until God says it’s over In Jesus Name!!”
Lord bless you all and Thank you for all your love, support and prayers!!
